Connecticut College Theater Department presents Henrik Ibsen´s ´A Doll´s House´ May 6-9

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College´s Theater Department presents Henrik Ibsen´s "A Doll´s House," May 6-9. The performance is directed by Connecticut College senior Julia Berman. In this classic play set in the 19th century, housewife Nora Helmer is forced to navigate through a male-dominated world when her husband suddenly becomes ill. Her journey reveals the politics at play in a patriarchal society. Helmer´s experiences remain relevant today, and the play compels audience members to examine their own lives and the society in which they live, Berman said. Performances are at 8 p.m. on May 6, 7 and 8 and at 2 p.m. on May 8 and 9 in Tansill Theater. Tickets are $8 for general admission. To purchase tickets, call the Connecticut College box office at 860-439-ARTS.
